How to Password Protect the Lock Folder XP Software

When you first install Lock Folder XP, you are prompted to password protect the software at that time. Password-protecting Lock Folder XP means:

You can only uninstall Lock Folder XP if you know the password. Password-protecting the Lock Folder XP installation prevents someone from defeating protections to your files and folders by uninstalling Lock Folder XP. When somebody attempts to uninstall Lock Folder XP, they will be prompted for the correct password before being allowed to continue.
If, as recommended, you enable password protection of Lock Folder XP, anyone trying to access the software will be required to enter the correct password information. Password-protecting the operation of Lock Folder XP prevents someone from defeating protections to your files and folders by using the Lock Folder XP software without your permission.

If you did not password-protect Lock Folder XP at the time of installation, you can do so at any time by:

Select Security > Change Password.
Type a password into the Password field. 
Confirm your password, by re-typing it into the Confirm field, and click OK.
Click Options, and select Password Protection to turn on protection using the password you set.
