A fast way to format a form or report is with the AutoFormat button, available in Design view. When you click this button on the Form Design toolbar, you can select and preview a variety of layouts and styles. After you make your selections, Access formats the entire report or form consistently for you. After using AutoFormat, you can always make additional changes to the formatting using buttons on the Formatting (Form/Report) toolbar. If you don't see the header and footer sections, you can display them to add controls. When you select a control, sizing handles appear around the control, which you can drag to size it. You can also drag inside a selected control to move it to a new location.

Did You Know?
Access inherits the theme from Windows XP. If the operating system is Windows XP SP1 or later, and you have chosen a theme other than Windows Classic, Access inherits the theme (color scheme, fonts, lines, etc.). Most of the views, controls, and dialog boxes will match the Windows theme.
